Oleksandr ZINCHENKO: “Club business is over before the Scotland game”
Ukrainian player Oleksandr Zinchenko came to the place of the national team after the season ended in England, where Manchester City was the champion.
“Thanks for the congratulations, it’s great to see everyone. All club work is done, so you need to move on to the national team immediately, because we have an incredibly important game against Scotland. So we forget about the club – all thoughts are with the national team.
“What I did after winning the Premier League (Premier League Cup with the Ukrainian flag)? I’ve said that many times, but I’ll say it over and over that I’m proud to be Ukrainian. At that moment, I thought of those who have sadly died long ago and those who are currently surviving in incredibly difficult conditions.
“I wanted to give them a little smile, at least for a few seconds,” Zinchenko said.
