Defender of the national team of Ukraine Vitaly Mikolenko He shared his expectations from the fight against the Scottish team.

“I don’t remember training twice a day, so I was a bit tired. We have a two-sided game ahead – training with increased responsibility. For this we will prepare for a full-fledged match, because this is the last competition of ideas before the duel with Scotland. So it will be a fight between two teams.

We came here not to sunbathe, but to work and achieve the results we want. And we want to go to the World Cup.

Scotland is power football, the standards might say, a rush back and forth. Good football, I love it. In England I had the experience of working like this in half a year, although sometimes we had to close and keep score, not every match was like this. Let’s see if my experience at Everton is needed after the game.

I know that whatever the final score, every player, every person from the medical staff, the press will do their best and will do everything for the sake of victory,” he said.

The Blue-Yellows continue their preparations for the 2022 World Cup qualifiers and the Nations League. The Everton defender recently arrived at the national team’s location and is back in the general group after a minor injury.

Recall that the 1/2 final match between the national teams of Scotland and Ukraine in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers will be played on 1 June at Hampden Park stadium in Glasgow.
