Leonid BURYAK: “I’m afraid of the match against Scotland”
Leonid Buryak, the former coach of the Ukraine national team, commented on the preparation of Oleksandr Petrakov’s team for the 2022 World Cup playoff selection:
– The fact that the Ukrainian team will no longer play practice matches has been read. It is now difficult to find a worthy competitor in a short time. In this case, there is nothing left but to play a two-sided game. Of course, this is very bad. There is no season, the lack of game practice is huge.
Is everything this complicated?
– Yes, I am afraid of this match – against the Scots … I played in Scotland and I know how difficult it is there. If you’re shaking there, write in vain. Despite the fact that the Scots’ ball game has improved significantly recently, the main thing to face them will be good conditioning, endurance under crazy pressure. I hope the Ukraine team will have the courage not to be startled.
