Steve CLARK: “Ukraine didn’t let us play ball”
Scotland chief Steve Clarke commented on the defeat of the Ukraine national team (1:3) in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers.
“Ukraine did not let us play with the ball. We conceded the second goal before we had time to properly adjust to the course of this match. We lacked patience. We couldn’t put the ball down and create goal positions. We fight together and experience failure together. It’s hard for us now, but soon the next one We will need to start preparing for the cycle.
I must say honestly: the strongest team won. Congratulations to Ukraine and good luck in Cardiff. Good luck to the Wales team. This match should be good and it’s a pity we didn’t participate in it. Tonight is not our night,” Clarke said.
