2 June, the day after the victory over Scotland (3:1)Boric Ukraine started early. There was breakfast at 09:00, as the crew was waiting for the 11:30 scheduled flight from Glasgow to Cardiff.
birthday child Alexandra KaravaevaHead coach Alexander Petrakov, who turned 30, congratulated the bus and the whole team rewarded the hero of the day with great applause. The national team’s victory the day before kept the morale high on his birthday and his 10th assist at the beginning of the second half of the collection’s career was appreciated by his teammates. At dinner, Alexander was given a traditional cake and a T-shirt signed by his partners.
The flight to the capital of Wales took an hour. It took another 15 minutes to get from the airport to St. Petersburg. David’s. A welcome proof of Ukrainian support can be obtained immediately upon arrival in Wales. The bus drivers affixed Ukrainian stickers to the doors, proudly saying that they ordered their production personally. The blue-yellows settled on the banks of the Taff River, which flows outside the city into Cardiff Bay, then into Bristol, and then joins the Celtic Sea.
From the hotel window you can see numerous yachts and boats moored at the local piers. After all, the players of the national team were more interested not in this, but in the presence of a table tennis table in the dining room. Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ruslan Malinovsky were the first to pick up a racket and start playing table tennis. A healthy interest in sports is evidenced by the fact that central midfielders do not go to dinner until they have played about a dozen short games. Later, the other children played table tennis.
After resting from the road, the team left for the evening practice, which took place on the territory of the Sports House (Sports House) of the Cardiff City club. The players were divided into two groups. Entering the field from the first minutes, 11 players worked according to the recovery schedule – just running and stretching. At the same time the rest of the collections provided a full fledged course with relay races, passing, ball control and game series. As a result, the level of physical activity stabilized after Thursday and on June 3 the whole team will work together on the field again.
