Neymar on Argentina’s celebrations: ‘Did they win the World Cup?’
Neymar mocked the Argentine players’ celebrations after the Finalissima win over Italy.
Argentina became European champions on Wednesday (1 June) with a 3-0 win over Italy in the newly formed finalissima. Lionel Scaloni’s players defeated the Squadra Azura and celebrated wildly at the end of the final at Wembley Stadium.
But not everyone was happy with the winner. In particular, Neymar wanted to ridicule ‘Albiseleste’ players, including his teammates like Lionel Messi, Angel di Maria.
Commenting on a post on Instagram where the Argentines organized a party at Wembley, the Brazilian striker characteristically wrote: “Did you win the World Cup?”
Remember that Argentina won the Latin American classic last July, beating Brazil 1-0 in the Maracana to win the 2021 Copa America, the 15th in its history and the first since 1993.
