Yarmolenko scored three goals before Shevchenko, Yaremchuk caught Gusev
In the match against Scotland (3:1) Andriy Yarmolenko scored the 45th goal of the Ukraine national team. And now only three goals separate him from Andriy Shevchenko’s record. Yarmolenko scored 18 goals in the friendly matches, 16 goals in the World Championships, 9 goals in the European Championships and 2 goals in the Nations League.
He did not leave the field goalless in the duel with the Scots and Roman Yaremchuk. After scoring the 13th goal, he passed Sergey Nazarenko and now shares the fifth place with Oleg Gusev in the list of the best scorers of the national team.
