Ukrainian troops send flag to national team with Wales flag before ‘final’
Ukraine will battle Wales for the final ticket to the World Cup in Qatar, with the country’s soldiers fighting on the front lines for more than three months to give internationals a flag.
With the World Cup in Qatar fast approaching, the two countries currently living more than any other in the tournament constellation are Wales and Ukraine.
And that’s because on Sunday (June 5th, 7:00 p.m., COSMOTE SPORT 1 HD and LIVE by Sportish) they will be fighting for the last European ticket for the biggest celebration in world football at national level.
A “finale” of great value for the Ukrainian people, who have been going through hard times for more than three months due to the Russian invasion. In fact, the Ukrainian soldiers wanted to show their support to the internationals by sending a flag of his country.
As revealed by the coach of the national team of Ukraine Oleksandr Petrakov, the players will hang them in the dressing room before the “final” in the playoffs of the world championship.
