Vyacheslav Grozny: “It was an unfair defeat of Ukraine against Wales”
Experienced mentor Vyacheslav Grozny believes that the Ukrainian national team suffered an unfair defeat from Wales in the 2022 World Cup qualifying final.
“Our team played two very strong matches. They beat both Scotland and Wales in almost every way – not just in numbers. The team can play football corresponding to the collectible level. We have great players. I think we have the balance that the national team needs. 5 out of 10 players play in good foreign clubs. We have all our players, including the goalkeeper, they work very well with the ball.
“I still have not moved away from the game, I live with emotions. I think it was an unfair defeat. We had to score, not just one goal. It’s so unfair.”
“Functionally, we looked very solid. The recovery of the players was at a very high level.”
