FIFA dismisses Chile’s appeal against Ecuador over Byron Castillo
The FIFA Disciplinary Committee has decided to close Chile’s appeal against Ecuador over Byron Castillo’s unlawful participation.
That Ecuador will normally be at the World Cup in Qatar as FIFA has decided to close the case of Byron Castillo for whom the Chile.
The Chilean FA have complained that the 23-year-old right-back was not eligible to play for the Ecuador national team because his official details regarding both place and date of birth were falsified.
Teams have 10 days to ask for justification for the decision, while Chile reserves the right to appeal the decision.
