Taras STEPANENKO: “One day the World Cup will be held in Ukraine”
The midfielder of Shakhtar and the national team of Ukraine shared their impressions of the failure of the team, which did not qualify for the 2022 World Cup.
“All my thoughts in the last months have been about winning the war and going to the World Cup. But these dreams were connected by a strong bond that was in my heart and warmed my soul. Reaching Qatar is so close that I almost want to touch it, smell the victory and do the most important thing. – We managed to give a smile and incredibly positive emotions for Ukrainians.”
“Strong people create their own luck, and Ukrainians are a very strong nation. Now it is known all over the world. And we will definitely win the war together.”
“And one day the World Cup will be held in Ukraine, I have no doubt about it,” said Stepanenko.
