Cortes determines the composition of the Ukraine women’s team for the 2023 World Cup qualifying matches
Head coach of the Ukraine women’s national team Luis Cortez He published a list of players of the Ukraine women’s national team, who were called up to the training camp to prepare for and participate in the qualifying matches of the 2023 World Cup.
The Ukrainians continue to play in Group B, where the blue-yellows compete with the national teams of Spain, Scotland, Hungary and the Faroe Islands. Ukrainians will play their last match away in this election.
The Faroe Islands – Ukraine match will be played on 02 September 2022 at 20:00 Kyiv time at Torsvollur stadium (artificial turf) in the city of Torshavn. The Spain-Ukraine match will start on 06 September 2022 at 22:00 Kyiv time, at the Ciudad del Futbol de Las Rozas stadium in Madrid, located in the training base of the Spanish national teams.
The 10 group winners will advance directly to the 2023 World Cup finals. The second teams of the groups will continue to compete in the next stage – the playoff round (in October and November 2022). Ukraine even missed the theoretical chance to qualify for the 2023 World Cup.
