Only one member of Team Canada remains under COVID-19 protocol at the Beijing Olympics on Wednesday, the Canadian Olympic Committee (COC) announced.
Three members of the Canadian delegation were there the day before.
Canada sent 414 people to China for the Games, including athletes, coaches and mission team members.
The affected person, whose identity has not been released, is subject to a protocol that impacts his ability to perform his role in Beijing, the COC said in a statement.
According to Dr. Mike Wilkinson, chief medical officer of the Canadian Olympic Committee, it is not an athlete.
The committee added that it is handling each case individually and that it had planned to travel to China early to carry out the mandatory screening tests and allow its medical experts to deploy.
The COC has indicated that it will not reveal the identity of its members subject to the protocol without their consent in order to respect their privacy.
Athletes who receive a positive drug test result in China must have two negative test results taken more than 24 hours apart to come out of their isolation.
