IOC upholds sanctions against Russian sports

The representative of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Mark Adams, during a press conference said that the organization upheld the sanctions against Russian athletes and federations.
– Sanctions against Russia remain in force – no flags, paraphernalia, anthems. No international tournaments in Russia,” Adams said at a press conference.
Earlier, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended the removal of Russian athletes from international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine. Later, a number of sporting events that were supposed to take place in Russia were canceled. A number of international federations have decided to exclude Russian and Belarusian athletes from participating in competitions under their auspices.
