Olympic medalist in cross-country skiing Maxim Vylegzhanin expressed hope that soon Russian athletes would again be allowed to start at international competitions.
– Of course, I want to believe in the best. I would like sport to always remain outside of politics, and the issue of the removal of domestic athletes be resolved. And this applies not only to representatives of winter species, but also summer ones. It remains to be hoped, – quotes the words of Vylegzhanin RT.
In February, due to the situation in Ukraine, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) recommended that federations prevent Russian athletes from participating in international competitions.
