Olympic champions Bolshunov and Nepryaeva will not compete at the Russian Summer Championship
Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov and Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Natalya Nepryaeva will not take part in the Russian summer championship. RIA Novosti Sport was informed about this by the coach of athletes Yuri Borodavko.
Currently, Borodavko’s group is holding a training camp in Tyumen.
– Alexander Bolshunov fell ill before the training camp. He had a fever for over a week. Literally now he is on his third day of training, so he will not take part in the Russian championship.
Also, the sisters Natalia and Daria Nepryaeva and Alexander Terentiev will not start. They also got sick, and today they had their first day of training,” said Borodavko.
The Russian Championship will be held in Tyumen from 16 to 20 September.
