“The problem is not Dalin, let the uncle work.” Guberniev – on the re-election of the head of the International Biathlon Union
Commentator “Match TV” Dmitry Guberniev commented on the re-election of the Swede Olle Dalin to the post of president of the International Biathlon Union (IBU).
Dalin was re-elected on Saturday. The voting took place at the IBU congress in Salzburg. The 68-year-old Swede has led the organization since 2018. The day before, the IBU Congress extended the suspension of Russian and Belarusian biathletes from competitions under its auspices due to the situation in Ukraine.
– It was an expected step, because he had no special opponents. As far as I understand, the biathlon community as a whole was satisfied with them. Re-elected and re-elected.
This is not about Dahlia. Looking at yesterday’s vote, there were 39 countries against our return. 39! And two for Here at least Dalin, at least an American, at least someone. In the near future, nothing shines for us to return to biathlon. So I’m on the same page with this. We always got on well with him. Uncle worked and let him work. The problem is not in him, Guberniev told Match TV.
