The third week of the season Fantasy NFL is here after another wild Sunday of action. Hopefully you could secure a “W” this week: if you had it Tua Tagovailoa, Justin Herbert either Lamar Jackson as your QB, chances are you have. Yes Tom Brady either Trey Lance was your QB this week, then you better have a few monster weeks from other players to lead your team to victory. Now is the time to look ahead.

With just two weeks left in the Fantasy NFL season, it’s still a little early to write off some of your players or lose hope if they’re 0-2. It’s more of a cliché but football really is week to week and sometimes it can be beneficial to completely forget what happened one week and not let it affect the decisions for the next week.

With that said, we have another set of data points to evaluate. It was a little unsettling to see Brady (vs. Packers in Week 3) and Russell Wilson (vs. 49ers) struggle, and as a result, both saw their rankings drop for Week 3. The underperformance of Joe Barrow in Week 2 isn’t as concerning, but it’s worth keeping an eye on his play down the stretch. However, a game against the Jets this week should cure his malaise.

Other QBs whose ratings regress in Week 3 include Tagovailoa (vs. Bills), Jameis Winston (@Panthers) and Justin Fields (vs. Texans). Tagovailoa is coming off the best day of his career, so it’s a bit surprising to see him fall in the rankings, but Fantasy is all about weekly matchups. Accounts are the hardest thing there is. Tua always has an advantage because of the skill of Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, but bad turnovers always haunt him. The same goes for Carson Wentz (against the Eagles), but we like his matchup much better. Winston (@Panthers) looked like him “Bad James” from the Buccaneers days last week, and the Panthers’ pass defense is solid. Fields hasn’t shown us much this year, so even in what looks like a decent matchup, he falls flat. If the Texans can stop Wilson, they will certainly do well against Fields.

Some QBs with correspondences Week 3 pros include Kirk Cousins (vs. Lions), Wentz (vs. Eagles), Marcus Mariota (@Seahawks) and Mac Jones (vs. Ravens). The Lions defense struggled again against the pass, making Cousins a must-have QB in Week 3. Wentz had another impressive performance despite some turnoverand Mariota played another respectable week despite finishing the game with turnover in a row. Jones is the tough one because the Pats offense has been more than stagnant., but Baltimore’s pass defense was abysmal. It’s hard to pitch Jones in one-QB leagues given the abundance of talent at the position, but there’s clearly an upside.

Trevor Lawrence (@Chargers) and Jared Goff (@Vikings) are also cases to be in the starting lineup after strong performances., but Lawrence has a relatively tough race in Los Angeles, and Goff is always unpredictable, especially on the road. Like Jones, they’re hard to recommend in one-QB leagues, but they’re potential options if you need a replacement for Dak Prescott (thumb) or Trey Lance.
