With two crushing victories at the start of the tournament, the Canadian team continues with a third game of the preliminary phase, Monday, at the Beijing Olympics.

Canada’s third opponents in Group A will be athletes from the Russian Olympic Committee.

The matchup will be presented starting at 11:10 p.m. Quebec time at the Wukesong Sports Center.

In the last match, won 11 to 1 against Finland, Sarah Nurse distinguished herself by scoring a hat trick.

It looks like Quebec forward Mélodie Daoust will miss a second game in a row after she suffered an upper-body injury but the tournament wouldn’t be over.

After this third match, the group stage will conclude on Tuesday for the Canadians, who will face their eternal rivals Americans in 24 hours.

Unsurprisingly, the Americans won their first three matches in Group A.

Canada is trying to recapture the gold medal after the United States defeated them in the 2018 final in Pyeongchang.

The representatives of the maple leaf had previously triumphed at the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, Vancouver and Sochi.
