We’re already in week five, which means we’ve covered more than a third of his regular season Fantasy NFL. Although the sample size is still quite small, we have a much better understanding of how certain players and teams will perform in various matches, enhancing our rankings. Our QB rankings from week 5 are here to guide you in making critical decisions to field or sit players in the final week before the games start. Goodbye.

The top of our QB rankings are a little different than they were in Week 4, like Patrick Mahomes (against the Raiders in Week 5) and Tom Brady (against the Falcons) move into the top five thanks to very favorable matchups. Going into Week 4, the Raiders had allowed the fourth-most points to QBs (in Fantasy NFL) and going against Mahomes won’t be easy. Atlanta wasn’t far behind, allowing the 10 most points, and Brady’s familiarity with the Falcons could lead to a big performance. Aaron Rodgers (vs. Giants) and Derek Carr (@Chiefs) also see their ratings improve.

Hopefully we don’t have to worry as much about the impact that the weather — as we saw in Week 4, had an impact on the performances of Jalen Hurts, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Trevor Lawrence — but from their Week 5 matchups to come under better conditions, they seem likely to recover.

Everyone saw Tua Tagovailoa went down with a scary head injury last Thursday night and with Tagovailoa unlikely to be out before Week 5, backup QB Teddy Bridgewater (@ Jets) will take ownership. Miami has enough talent in Bridgewater to give him some value. We still prefer veterans Russell Wilson (against the Colts), Kirk Cousins (against the Bears) and Matthew Stafford (against the Cowboys) over Bridgewater, despite the different degrees of difficulty of the games, but there is not a huge gap between them.

Also on the injury front, Bailey Zappe (vs. Lions) looks likely to start in place of Mac Jones (ankle) and Brian Hoyer (concussion), and Jameis Winston’s status (vs. Seahawks) is also worth checking out. monitor. it is legal asleep if he returns from his back injury, but if he doesn’t, Andy Dalton doesn’t inspire much confidence despite the favorable matchup. Same goes for Pittsburgh’s new QB, Kenny Pickett (@Bills), who has a lot of long-term chances … but not against Buffalo.

Some of the big drops from Week 5 include Geno Smith (@Saints), Carson Wentz (vs. Titans), Marcus Mariota (@Buccaneers) and Jimmy Garoppolo (@Panthers). Everyone but Wentz is having tough games, and Wentz and Mariota had a tough time last week. Smith has only performed well in very favorable matches this year, so he can’t be trusted completely. Jared Goff ( @Patriots ) looks like a decent matchup on paper, but we’re also discounting him because of Detroit’s injury woes and the fact that New England’s numbers are inflated after being roasted by Lamar Jackson in Week 3.

If you need a pick in deeper leagues, Ryan Tannehill (@ Commanders), Zach Wilson (vs. Dolphins) and the aforementioned Bridgewater (@ Jets) are solid options. Washington’s defense has been one of the more disappointing units this season, so Tannehill should have a solid stat line. Wilson is playing in just his second game back from a knee injury and has a low percentage on the roster, but the upside is there against Miami’s porous pass defense.
