Sunday of NFL Week 5 closes with a showdown between two heavyweights: The Baltimore Ravens will meet the Cincinnati Bengals in the first of two AFC North member duels. The Bengals are sweet in heads-up: in 2021 they won 41-17 and 41-21.

The SportingNews features bets, predictions and options to make the game even more exciting.

  • Baltimore Ravens -3 (1.86 to 1)

The Baltimore Ravens played twice at home in the 2022 season and lost both times: they were 38-42 vs. Miami Dolphins and 20-23 over the Buffalo Bills. Is the third time going to be the charm? The SportingNews think yes And why is clear: He has more potential than the Bengals, especially at quarterback. Lamar Jackson is on his way to competing for regular season MVP.

The Ravens’ downs, other than tight as it seems, happened on the last play. That’s why a good close of the game for the Baltimore team will be crucial. Cincinnati improved after a slow start, but this test will be tougher than the one the Miami Dolphins faced without Tua Tagovailova (27-15).

  • Lamar Jackson +57.5 yards (1.9)

Lamar Jackson is the leader of the Baltimore Ravens and his performance places him as one of the MVP contenders. His work on the ground has been phenomenal and in his last three carries he has run a lot, exceeding the quota of 57.5 yards. Against Miami he finished with 119 yards (1 TD), with the New England Patriots he finished with 107 (1 TD) and against Buffalo, 73.

If the game goes tight, as predicted, Lamar will likely use his legs. And the Bengals have suffered in 2021: on 17-41 he finished with 88 yards. It is worth noting that he did not play the other 2021 duel.

  • Joe Burrow +273.5 receiving yards (1.9)

Just as Lamar Jackson is a danger to opposing defenses, the Baltimore Ravens defense is a danger to their offense. When he needed to, he failed. Joe Burrow’s line is at 273.5 receiving yards and sounds appealing for two reasons. In three of four games in 2022, the QB surpassed that record. And he adds that the Ravens have allowed three times that number.

The Ravens have played Joe Flacco (309 yards), Tua Tagovailova (469) and Mac Jones (321). Burrow, with a great receiving corps that includes Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and Tyler Boyd, should join the 300+ yard pack vs. the purple ones
