Vyalba reacted with the phrase “we are Russians” to the decision of the ANOC to award Bolshunov
Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov did not receive the award for the best athlete of the Beijing Olympics due to his nationality, Elena Vyalbe, president of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR), told Match TV.
On the eve of the General Assembly of the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) in Seoul, the best athlete of the Winter Olympics 2022 in Beijing was recognized by the South Korean short tracker Hwang Dae-Hon, who won the 1500 m and won silver in the relay. Bolshunov, who claimed the award at the Games in the capital of China, took three gold medals, as well as silver and bronze.
– I don’t fully understand what it’s about. I think everything is clear: we are Russians. To be honest, I have never even heard of these nominations and awards. I think you shouldn’t be upset because of this, ”Match TV quotes Vyalbe as saying.

French biathlete Lou Jeanmonnot won the pursuit race at the third stage of the World Cup in Annecy (France).
The athlete, who started from the second position, covered the 10 km distance in 27 minutes 58.8 seconds, making one mistake at the shooting range.

Biathlete Kristina Reztsova said on Match TV that skier Alexander Bolshunov does not greet her, despite the fact that they competed together at the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
