The NFL season continues to fly by, and this week’s six-team bye (Browns, Cowboys, Broncos, Giants, Steelers and 49ers) is sure to cause problems for the Fantasy NFL. Fortunately, there are no idle top tiers, but we will be without at least one low-end QB1. The Week 9 QB rankings are here to help guide your decisions.

duck prescott he’s the most notable QB of the week, and as we saw last week, he always has a high ceiling. The loss of Daniel Jones also hurts, as he has begun to find a rhythm in Brian Daboll’s scheme. Russell Wilson and Jimmy Garoppolo have the potential to start at right tackle, so losing them hurts the overall depth at the position.

Justin Fields (vs. Dolphins in Week 9), Andy Dalton (vs. Ravens) and Ryan Tannehill/Malik Willis (@Chiefs) all look like exciting streamers with the ability to thrive in favorable matchups. In deeper leagues, you could also opt for solid floors, with the help of running backs, from Marcus Mariota (vs. Chargers) or Sam Ehlinger (@Patriots) in neutral matchups.

Fields is the most intriguing of the previous group, as he almost functions as a running back right now., posting 230 yards and two TDs in the last three games. That gives him a floor above Mariota and Ehlinger, and with a matchup against a Dolphins defense that entered Week 8 allowing the fifth-most points per game in Fantasy NFL (FPPG) to QBs, he has more passing potential than what usually

Secondly, Jared Goff (vs. Packers) is the most unsuccessful of mid-level QBs, as the Packers entered Week 8 allowing the third-fewest FPPG to a QB. We’re also a little worried about Tua Tagovailoa (vs. Bears), Tom Brady (vs. Rams), Derek Carr (vs. Jaguars) and Matthew Stafford (vs. Buccaneers) because of their struggles, but they all have big weapons around them and can put up decent numbers against anyone. Tagovailoa, in particular, has established himself as a “must-start” because of his catchers., but watch the rams carefully. If Cooper Kupp (ankle) is out, Stafford would drop several spots in our rankings.

On the injury front, we’re likely to be without Baker Mayfield (ankle) and we know Carson Wentz (toe) will be out. Additionally, we’ll continue to monitor Tannehill (ankle) to see if he or Willis start against the Chiefs on Sunday Night Football.

We could be in for a higher scoring week with some of the top QBs having favorable matchups. There’s a good chance the top nine QBs in our rankings are all on teams favored to win their respective games, which should point to solid QB play overall. Yes, even for Aaron Rodgers (@Lions). Let the good times roll.
