The head of the Biathlon Federation of the Udmurt Republic, three-time world champion Ivan Cherezov reacted to the transfer of biathlete Viktor Plitsev
to the North Macedonia national team.
According to Metaratings.ru, 27-year-old Plitsev joined the North Macedonia national team and will be able to play for it in the upcoming season. Previously, Plitsev was a member of the junior team of Russia and the team of Udmurtia.
– Victor Plitsev was going to move to the Macedonian team for a long time, even before February. At some point, the transition process was on pause. They worked out options, since it is necessary to obtain citizenship – this is a lengthy procedure.
All the guys want to try themselves in the international arena. If they can’t break through here, through our competitions, into the national team, they go this way – they go to teams where the composition is difficult to assemble. There they have guarantees that they will perform on the international stage, – Cherezov is quoted by the “Championship”.
- “His right to go where he wants.” Anfisa Reztsova on Plitsev’s transfer to the North Macedonia national team
- “I don’t blame him.” Vasiliev – about the transition of the biathlete Plitsev to the national team of North Macedonia
- “We can be glad for the biathlete Plitsev, we will wait for the more titled ones to go to other countries” – Guberniev
