Fantasy NFL RB rankings Week 11: Who to draft and who to sit?

The marathon of the NFL season has reached a sprint pace. Last week was absolutely electric and Week 11 looks set to be just as intense. With a plethora of injuries and four teams on byes (Buccaneers, Dolphins, Jaguars and Seahawks), making the right decisions to start or sit this week could be the difference between making the playoffs or watching them externally. That’s where the Week 11 Fantasy NFL RB Rankings can help.

If Gus Edwards shows up (vs. Panthers in Week 11), he’s an elite option against a Carolina defense that entered Week 10 allowing the fifth-most Fantasy NFL points per game (FPPG) to a RB this season. Gus Bus can beat teams on the ground or through the air, and the Panthers have allowed 13 total touchdowns to running backs. Of course, if Edwards sits out, you can start Kenyan Drake, who could be worth it with or without Gus.

Most backfields are pretty specific. Philly’s Miles Sanders (@Colts) and Houston’s Dameon Pierce (vs. Commanders) are locked in, as is New England’s Rhamondre Stevenson (vs. Jets)., even if Damien Harris (illness) plays. Devin Singletary (vs. Browns) looks to still be Buffalo’s man.

In Washington, Antonio Gibson (@Texans) looks like the RB you want, but that doesn’t mean Brian Robinson is in the clear, as he can still eat up a Houston run defense that allowed 464 rushing yards and four TDs from the game in the last three weeks. On the season, the Texans allowed a whopping 28.5 FPPG to RBs, the most in the NFL.

Cordarrelle Patterson (vs. Bears) was stuck in a jam in Week 10, but we have to believe the veteran will be the horse again now that he’s back to health and facing a very respectable career in Chicago D. Tyler Allgeier is on the flex radar against a Bears defense that allows the third most FPPG to RB, but he and Caleb Huntley left us largely uninspired. On the other side of this game, Chicago RB David Montgomery ( @Falcons ) should also be a backup this week due to running mate Khalil Herbert suffering a hip injury in Week 10., so Monty could have a job against an Atlanta D that allowed D’Onta Foreman and the Panthers to rack up 232 yards and two rushing TDs. If Herbert plays, they both deserve a 12-team roster.

The same goes for the Dallas duo if Ezekiel Elliott (knee) plays against the Vikings. We still like Tony Pollard better, but Zeke is always a bet for touchdowns on the goal line. We can also be convinced by both Jamaal Williams and D’Andre Swift ( @Giants ) despite the relatively tough matchup, though Swift is much better suited for PPR leagues. Williams always seems destined to be the primary ball carrier and goal lineman. You can also try Latavius Murray and Melvin Gordon (against the Raiders), but they have pretty low ceilings despite the favorable matchup.

We’re not that excited for either Packer given their matchup with Tennessee. Aaron Jones is still a must play player, but AJ Dillon is just a depth player. We also only like Isiah Pacheco ( @Chargers ) in Kansas City despite a favorable matchup, as Clyde Edwards-Helaire is closer to being dropped than starting. Pacheco showed some good hustle in Week 10 and could see more work in the passing game in what should be a high-scoring game.

Now, some guys that make us doubt. Michael Carter (@Patriots) has been the man in Gang Green since Breece Hall suffered a season-ending knee injury, but the Patriots have had two weeks to prepare for this game and Bill Belichick always crushes the Jets . Carter is still versatile, but avoid James Robinson if possible. James Conner (vs. 49ers) looked great against the Rams, but we still have reservations against a San Francisco D that eats RBs like my daughter eats applesauce (greedy). The Niners and Pats ranked No. 1 and No. 2 for fewest typical FPPG allowed to running backs (12.7 and 13.4, respectively). Also, be very wary of the Rams’ mess in the backfield against the Saints.
