Finland won bronze in women’s hockey with a 4-0 victory over Switzerland on Wednesday at the Beijing Olympics.

This is the third time in their last four Olympic appearances that the Finns have climbed to the third step of the podium.

Viivi Vainikka broke the ice midway through the first period.

Finland finally exploded in the final period, as Susanna Tapani scored shorthanded for her sixth goal of the tournament.

Nelli Laitinen then hit the target with a good one-timer, while Michelle Karvinen completed the scoring, both on the power play.

Canada and the United States will battle it out for gold on Wednesday night.
