Guberniev: “The pests from the IBU refused the expedited procedure for considering our claim in CAS”

Presenter and commentator Dmitry Guberniev on Match TV reported that the International Biathlon Union (IBU) refused the accelerated procedure for considering the claim of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) to CAS regarding admission to international tournaments.

On December 11, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the organization’s executive committee recommended that international federations not limit the access of athletes from Russia and Belarus to youth competitions in both individual and team disciplines. In addition, Russian and Belarusian athletes are allowed to compete at tournaments under national symbols, with the flag and anthem.

— Sergey Averyanov (head of the press service of the SBR) reports that the pests from the IBU refused the expedited procedure for considering our claim in CAS. We sent a separate request to the IBU regarding juniors and juniors. Will the federation listen to the International Olympic Committee, which recommended the return of young Russian and Belarusian athletes to international competitions? In other words, will the IBU be against our children? “This will be interesting,” Guberniev said on Match TV.
