Olympic champion in cross-country skiing Veronika Stepanova showed her biceps and compared herself with Norwegian Marit Bjorgen, the only eight-time winner of the Games in the history of women’s skiing.

The Russian athlete posted a photo in a black dress with open arms on Telegram. The photo shows the muscles of the athlete.

“Our answer is Marit Bjorgen,” Stepanova wrote on Telegram, crossing out the name “Chamberlain” and accompanying the post with an emoji with a bicep.

Stepanova is 21 years old, as part of the Russian team she won the gold of the 2022 Olympics in the relay.

    On Friday, December 19, as part of the third stage of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Biathlon Cup, a women’s 7.5 km sprint race will be held in Tchaikovsky.

    The start is scheduled for 11:30 Moscow time. Watch the live broadcast of the competition on the Match TV and Match Planet channels from 11:00.

    The starting list includes 66 biathletes. Anna Sola, Anastasia Khalili, Natalia Shevchenko, Irina Kazakevich, Kristina Reztsova, Victoria Slivko will take the starting line.

    On Friday, December 19, as part of the third stage of the Alfa-Bank Commonwealth Biathlon Cup, a men’s 10 km sprint race will be held in Tchaikovsky.

    The race will start at 09:00 Moscow time. The live broadcast will be available on the Match TV, Match Arena and Match Planet TV channels from 08:35.

    The starting list includes Daniil Serohvostov, Karim Khalili, Alexander Povarnitsyn, Kirill Bazhin, Alexander Loginov and others. A total of 98 athletes are participating.

    Swedish biathlete Hanna Oeberg won the sprint race at the third stage of the World Cup in Annecy (France).

    Oeberg covered the 7.5 km distance in 19 minutes 24.9 seconds and did not make a single mistake on two shooting ranges. The Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot (+3.3 seconds; no misses) was second; the top three was rounded out by the Italian Dorothea Wierer (+11.4; no misses).

    The leader of the overall standings, Swede Anna Magnusson (+1.23.4; 2) finished 38th.

    On Friday, the men’s sprint will take place at the World Cup in Annecy.
