Stepanova made a promise to Putin at a reception in the Kremlin

The ceremony honoring the Olympic champions of the 2022 Winter Games in Beijing was held on Tuesday in the Kremlin.
In addition to the Stepanova award, figure skaters Kamila Valieva, Alexander Gallyamov, Nikita Katsalapov, Mark Kondratyuk, Anastasia Mishina and Victoria Sinitsina, as well as skiers Denis Spitsov and Alexei Chervotkin received from the hands of Russian President Vladimir Putin. The ceremony took place in the Catherine’s Hall of the Kremlin.
“I am the age of the century. Before my eyes, Russia has become strong, proud and successful. Not everyone likes it, but we will win, as we won at the Olympics. Thanks to the President for raising the flag of the country high, and we will not lower it. I promise, – said Stepanova during the ceremony.
Skier Veronika Stepanova is the champion of the 2022 Beijing Games in the relay. The athlete was born on January 4, 2001.
