Gymnast Chusovitina wants to compete at the ninth Olympics, she will be 49 years old

The 1992 Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics Oksana Chusovitina, now playing for Uzbekistan, wants to take part in the 2024 Games.
Chusovitina will turn 49 in June 2024.
– How did the postponement of the Asian Games for an indefinite period affect your plans? If you continue your sports career in 2023, can you think about the Paris 2024 Olympics?
— I thought about it well and decided that after the Asian Games I would also prepare for the Paris 2024 Olympics! – the press service of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan quotes Chusovitina as saying.
Chusovitina participated eight times in the Summer Olympics (1992, 1996, 2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, 2016, 2020) for the United Team of the Republics of the former USSR, Germany and Uzbekistan.
At the 1992 Olympics, as part of the unified team, she won gold in the team tournament, and in 2008 she won silver in the vault, playing for Germany.
The 2024 Olympics in Paris will take place from July 26 to August 11.
