Redkin – about Serokhvostov’s transfer to the Ugra team: “We have bait that he took the bait on – Victoria Metelya”

Director of the Sports Training Center and vice-president of the Ugra Biathlon Union Evgeniy Redkin told Match TV how Daniil Serohvostov’s transition to the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra team took place.

At the end of April it became known that Serokhvostov was moving from the Novosibirsk region team to the Ugra team.

In the spring, after the end of the Russian Championship, negotiations took place. We learned how much attention Serokhvostov receives from local authorities, and found an opportunity to offer Daniil better conditions for training. Again, the government of Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug drew attention to increasing material support for the district’s athletes and solving their everyday problems.

All this was done in the shortest possible time. Daniel expressed his readiness to move. The transition issues were regulated by the regulations of the SBR; we transferred funds to the Altai Territory and the Novosibirsk Region, which were represented by Daniil Serokhvostov,” the Match TV correspondent reports Redkin’s words.

Last season, Serokhvostov took second place in the overall ranking of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBR). The first was Karim Khalili, the third was Eduard Latypov.
