American rapper William Jonathan Drayton Jr., known as Flavor Flav, will support the US bobsled and skeleton teams during the 2026 Winter Olympics. This was reported by the press service of the International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The founder of the hip-hop group Public Enemy has been appointed as the official sponsor and promoter of the national team. He will provide financial assistance to the team during training and will organize promotional events to promote the athletes.

The 66-year-old rapper took part in bobsled and skeleton competitions at the Utah Olympic Park over the weekend. In one of his skeleton races, he reached a speed of 106 km/h. The musician also rode along professional tracks in a bobsled. In turn, Flave invited athletes to his performances in the USA.

Flave previously supported the USA water polo team during the 2024 Summer Olympics.

The 2026 Winter Olympics will take place from 6 to 22 February in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.

Biathlete Elizaveta Burundukova said on Match TV that two misses prevented her from fighting to get into the top three in the mass start at the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup, which is taking place in Tyumen.

The mass start took place on Sunday. Kristina Reztsova won, she ran 12 km in 34 minutes 58.2 seconds, making two mistakes at the shooting range. Second place went to Anastasia Grishina (+13 seconds, 0 misses), third place went to Victoria Meteli (+ 21.7 seconds, 1 miss).

Burundukova made two penalties and finished 30.4 seconds back.

“I’m very glad that I was accurate on the shooting range 15 times, but on the last one my legs began to shake, I became nervous and two unfortunate misses did not allow me to fight for the top three, but fourth place is already a breakthrough, so thanks to everyone,” said Burundukova.
