FIS was obliged to allow Russians in a neutral status to all competitions, and not just to the selection for the Olympic Games 2026
The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ordered the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) to admit Russian athletes to all international competitions under neutral status.
On Wednesday, following the CAS verdict, the FIS granted neutral status to skiers Saveliy Korostelev and Daria Nepryaeva, as well as freestyle skier Anastasia Tatalina to participate in the qualifying competitions for the 2026 Olympic Games.
“FIS is directed to allow the participation of athletes and support staff from Russia who meet the AIN (Individual Neutral Athlete) selection criteria in all FIS events, not just the qualifying events for the 2026 Winter Olympics,” the FIS statement said.
