Metelya – about the mass start: “How can you be upset with third place if so many people came to support us”
Biathlete Victoria Metelya, on Match TV, noted the phenomenal support from fans during the 12 km mass start at the second stage of the Alfa-Bank Russian Cup in Tyumen.
The mass start took place on Sunday. Metelya took third place, 21.7 seconds behind the winner Kristina Reztsova and making one penalty. Second was Anastasia Grishina (+13 seconds, 0 misses).

– Of course not. I would give everything to the audience, look how many people there are. How can you be upset with third place if so many people came to support us? I didn’t hear the clatter of poles or the sound of skis, because there was such a shout here, such support. “It’s just phenomenal,” said the biathlete.
