Norwegian skiers Klebo and Valnes won the team sprint at the World Cup in Davos

Norwegians Johannes Klebo and Erik Valnes became winners of the freestyle sprint at the World Cup cross-country skiing stage in Davos (Switzerland).

The Norwegian duo completed the distance in 14 minutes 00.95 seconds. Italians Elia Barp and Federico Pellegrino (+2.04) took second place, while Swedes Johan Heggström and Edwin Unger (+2.09) took third place.

The women’s sprint was won by Maja Dahlqvist and Jonna Sundling from Sweden (15 minutes 34.77 seconds). Silver and bronze were won by Norwegians Astrid Eire Slind and Matilda Myhrvold (+3.26) and Kristin Fosnes/Kristin Skistad (+3.46).

Individual sprints for women and men will take place on Saturday. Qualifying races at 15:45 Moscow time, finals on the same day at 18:15.

The World Cup in Davos will end on Sunday.
