Ardashev won the sprint at the stage of the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing in Chusovoy, Bolshunov did not reach the final
Skier Sergei Ardashev won the freestyle sprint race at the PhosAgro Russian Cup stage in Chusovoy (Perm region).
Ardashev’s result is 3 minutes 6.06 seconds. Silver was won by Sergey Volkov (+0.47 seconds), bronze by Danila Karpasyuk (+1.25).
Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov failed to reach the final. In the second semi-final he came third with a time of 3 minutes 0.96 seconds.
On Sunday, the men’s and women’s pursuit races will take place at the Russian Cup stage.
