Krupitskaya won the classic time trial at the Russian Cup in cross-country skiing
Evgenia Krupitskaya took first place in the 15 km classic time trial at the fourth stage of the PhosAgro Russian Cup in Izhevsk.
Krupitskaya covered the distance in 43 minutes 44.5 seconds. Second place went to Alina Pekletsova (+5.4). Anastasia Kuleshova took third place (+51.9).
Olympic champion Veronika Stepanova withdrew from the race due to health problems. As commentator Alexander Legkov reported on Match TV, Stepanova had a problem with the front of her thigh. The skier left the race at the 6.4 kilometer cutoff.
