Italian biathlete Giacomel won the mass start at the World Cup in Annecy
World Championships medalist Tommaso Giacomel won the mass start at the third stage of the Biathlon World Cup in Annecy, France.
The 25-year-old Italian made one penalty on four shooting stages and finished first with a score of 33 minutes and 35.1 seconds.
The second in the race was the representative of France, Eric Perrault, who lost 18.1 seconds to the winner with clean shooting, the third result was shown by the Norwegian Vetle-Sjastad Christiansen (+21.3, 2 penalties).
The fourth stage of the World Cup will be held in Oberhof, Germany, from January 8 to 11.
