Russian Biathlon Championship: when did it start, where to watch online men’s and women’s individual races on January 8
As part of the Alfa-Bank stage of the Russian Biathlon Championship in Izhevsk on Thursday, January 8, men’s and women’s individual races will be held.

Deceased biathlete Bakken will be given a starting number in the sprint at the World Cup in Oberhof
The International Biathlon Union (IBU) is organizing a farewell ceremony for Siewert Bakken before the sprint race at the World Cup in Oberhof, NRK reports, citing the IBU.
The race will begin with a minute of silence in memory of the athlete, and the Norwegian team will start wearing mourning armbands. The IBU also confirmed that Bakken will be assigned the first number in the race. Thus, biathlete number two will be the first to start.
The death of 27-year-old Bakken became known on December 23. The Norwegian Biathlon Association said the athlete was wearing a hypoxic mask when his body was found in a hotel room in Italy.
The sprint race in Oberhof will take place on January 8th.

Stepanova, Shevchenko, Yakimushkin and Usov became winners of the ski-biathlon “Race of Champions” relay
Skiers Veronika Stepanova and Ivan Yakimushkin, as well as biathletes Natalia Shevchenko and Daniil Usov took first place in the mixed relay race as part of TechnoNIKOL. Race of Champions” in Ryazan.

“Race of Champions” in biathlon and skiing: when does it start, where to watch the mixed relay online on January 4
As part of the TECHNONICOL Race of Champions in biathlon and skiing in Ryazan on Sunday, January 4, a mixed relay will be held.
10 teams, formed of 4 athletes each: a skier, a cross-country skier, a biathlete and a biathlete, will take to the start line. The composition of the teams was determined based on the results of the qualifications.
