Vance will lead the US delegation to the Olympics opening ceremony
US Vice President J.D. Vance and his wife Usha will lead the country’s delegation at the opening ceremony of the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in Italy, CBS reports, citing a statement from the White House.
The delegation, in addition to the vice president and his wife, will include Secretary of State Marco Rubio; US Ambassador to Italy Tilman Fertitta; Olympic hockey champions Jocelyn Lamoureux-Davidson and Monica Lamoureux-Morando; two-time Olympic champion in short track speed skating Apolo Anton Ohno, Olympic champion in figure skating Evan Lysacek.
The Olympics will take place from 6 to 22 February in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
