Skier Pekletsova won the time trial at the Russian Cup stage in Kazan
Alina Pekletsova won the freestyle time trial race at the sixth stage of the PhosAgro Russian Cup in cross-country skiing in Kazan.
Pekletsova covered the 10-kilometer distance in 24 minutes 9.4 seconds. Arina Kusurgasheva took second place (17.1 seconds back). Evgenia Krupitskaya took third place (+22.2 seconds).
Olympic champion Veronika Stepanova took fourth place (+24.4 seconds).
Later on Thursday there will be a men’s 15 km time trial race, starting at 13:00 Moscow time.
