Paralympian Golubkov became third at the World Cup in cross-country skiing in Germany
Multiple world champion in cross-country skiing and biathlon among athletes with POD Ivan Golubkov took third place in the 10-kilometer sitting race at the second stage of the Paralympic Ski World Cup in Finsterau (Germany).
The Russian, competing in the LW11.5 class, covered the 10-kilometer distance in 29 minutes and 27.2 seconds.
The victory was won by the representative of Brazil, Christian Westemeyer Ribera, who covered the distance in 29 minutes and 15.4 seconds, the second was the Chinese Mao Zhongwu (29.17.9)
Participation in these competitions allows athletes to accumulate ranking points, which are a mandatory criterion for receiving two-way invitations to the 2026 Paralympic Games in Italy.
The Winter Paralympic Games will take place from 6 to 15 March 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
