Russian Bagiyan won the Paralympic Cross-Country World Cup in Germany
Russian Anastasia Bagiyan took first place in the 10-kilometer mass start race among athletes with visual impairments at the second stage of the Paralympic Ski World Cup in Finsterau (Germany).
The Russian woman, competing in the NS1 class, covered the distance in 28 minutes and 47.5 seconds. Its leading athlete was Sergei Sinyakin.
The second place was taken by the representative of China Yue Wang (30 minutes and 8.6 seconds), the third was the German Johanna Recktenwald (30.59.4)
Participation in these competitions allows athletes to accumulate ranking points, which are a mandatory criterion for receiving two-way invitations to the 2026 Paralympic Games in Italy.
The Winter Paralympic Games will take place from 6 to 15 March 2026 in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo.
