Ski mountaineer Filippov became third in the sprint at the World Cup in France
Multiple Russian ski mountaineering champion Nikita Filippov took third in the sprint at the World Cup in Courchevel (France).
The Russian finished in the final with a result of 2 minutes 46.2 seconds. The best was the Spaniard Oriol Cardona (2.41.6), the second place was taken by the Frenchman Thibaut Anselmet (+3.7). Filippov won his first medal at the World Cup.
The Russian performed in Courchevel in a neutral status. In December, the athlete accepted an invitation from the International Olympic Committee to participate in the 2026 Olympic Games.
