Skier Terentyev won the sprint at the Russian Cup stage in Kazan
Two-time Olympic bronze medalist skier Alexander Terentyev won the sprint race in the classic style at the PhosAgro Russian Cup stage in Kazan.
Terentyev showed a result of 2 minutes 56.4 seconds. Sergei Ardashev was second (0.24 seconds behind), Konstantin Tiunov finished third (+0.29).
Three-time Olympic champion Alexander Bolshunov failed to reach the final, finishing fifth in the first semi-final heat.
On Sunday, women’s and men’s skiathlons will take place in the capital of Tatarstan.
