Russian skier Alina Pekletsova said that the International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) refused to grant her neutral status due to an anti-doping rule violation.

On Thursday, the 20-year-old athlete said the FIS had refused to grant her neutral status. Of the Russian skiers, only Savely Korostelev and Daria Nepryaeva received permission to participate in international tournaments.

“I was denied neutral status to participate in international competitions, the reason was a violation of anti-doping rules, that is, because I did not take a single doping test for the World Anti-Doping Agency, and I could only pass these tests if I had once participated in international competitions,” Pekletsova wrote on the Telegram channel.

On Saturday, skier Sergei Volkov said on Match TV that he had appealed the FIS decision to deny him neutral status to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS).
