It became known how much the Russian Biathlon Union received from bookies for the 1st quarter of 2022

The President of the Russian Biathlon Union, Viktor Maigurov, explained the amount of the organization’s budget in an interview with Match TV: “According to the plan, we have a budget of about 150 million rubles today and will be exceeded in revenue, our general sponsor Gazprom gives 40 million plus. After we cleared the debts, we started receiving money from the IBU, deductions appeared from the bookies, but we managed to collect about 40 million rubles on our own.”

According to the Unified Gambling Regulator (ERAI), the target cuts from SBR’s betting activities for Q1 2022 exceeded 20% of the organization’s declared annual budget. Recall that in the 1st quarter of 2022, the largest increase in targeted cuts compared to the previous period was recorded by the Biathlon Federation “Biathlon Union of Russia” – by 262%. This is due to the successful performance of athletes at the Winter Olympics.

“The system for distributing targeted contributions has become absolutely transparent and fair, plus there is additional motivation for athletes – their victories directly affect the amount of extrabudgetary funds allocated” Alexey Grachev, Managing Director of the United Gambling Regulator, commented on the status of Sport24.

For 3 months, bookmakers transferred 3.2 billion rubles for the development of sports in the Russian Federation. Which federations received the most?
