Russian skier Ivan Yakimushkin said that he did not expect such great loads at the first training camp in Yuri Borodavko’s group.
Earlier, Yakimushkin trained under the guidance of Oleg Perevozchikov, at the end of the last season, the athlete moved to Borodavko.
– We were warned that the loads would be quite strong from the very first training camp, that we needed to prepare a little. They came and made sure that it still needed to be done. I was preparing, but I thought that the first week would be easier, and then we fly right into the wave of loads. I hope next year I’ll be smarter already, ”the Match TV website quotes Yakimushkin as saying.
At the Beijing Olympics, Yakimushkin won a silver medal in the marathon.
