A complaint to the prosecutor’s office against Maygurov is a draft that Nuzhdov’s people leaked ahead of time, a source said
The complaint to the Prosecutor General’s Office against the President of the Russian Biathlon Union (RBU) Viktor Maygurov from the Council of the RBU is a draft that appeared in the public domain ahead of time, a Match TV source said.
On Monday, Match TV received a letter from the chairman of the Council of the RBU Alexander Yeslev to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation Igor Krasnov with a request to check the activities of Maygurov as head of the union. The appeal says that Maygurov’s actions contain signs of abuse of power, arbitrariness, illegal activities in terms of the distribution of financial resources, misappropriation of funds.
– The statement that appeared is a draft, which the people of (Aleksey) Nuzhdov simply leaked ahead of time, using Eslev. One of the signatories, Strakhov, has already publicly stated that he did not sign anything against it either. There will probably be more cases like this in the future,” the source said.
Elections for the head of the RRF will be held at the end of June; Maygurov and vice-president of the organization Alexei Nuzhdov are running for the position.
