The slogan for the 2024 Paris Olympics has been unveiled

The slogan “Let’s open the Games wide” (Ouvrons grand les jeux / Games wide open) has become the official motto of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, according to site International Olympic Committee (IOC).

The slogan highlights the organizing committee’s commitment to open up the Games to create a new, more immersive experience through a variety of activities and initiatives.

“This new slogan clearly shows Paris 2024’s commitment to re-create the model of the Games in line with the 2020 Olympic Agenda, opening up opportunities for participation by as many people as possible. With an opening ceremony on the banks of the Seine, competitions held in iconic venues across the city will bring people together both inside and outside the stadiums, in person and online. This approach will be key to inspiring the next generation, allowing even more people in France and around the world to experience the Olympic spirit and values,” said IOC chief Thomas Bach.

The Olympics in the French capital will be held from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Athletes will compete for 329 sets of awards in 32 sports.
